About Us
Yadavindra Public School, Mohali is a day cum boarding, private, K-12 school founded by Late Rajmata Mohinder Kaur, the queen of the erstwhile state of Patiala. Since its nascent years, the school’s vision is to equip the students mentally, morally, physically and culturally to be worthy members of both the national life and the international community. This vision crystallizes into our mission of all round development and holistic growth, as encapsulated by our motto: Vidya (education), Vinay (Humility), Veerta (Courage). YPS treats these values not as aesthetic conventions but an everyday reality for all our students and staff. To support the aforementioned aspirations, the school provides a 25 acre campus, factoring in specialized infrastructure for academics, sports, co- circular activities, and performing arts. The state of the art smart classrooms, backed by dedicated internet capabilities, help bring the world to the students’ doorstep. The elaborate sports facilities, which now feature international standard Tennis, Basketball, and Squash Courts, include a 20 discipline sports curriculum for the benefit of all pupils. The recent upgrading places YPS amongst the finest schools in the country in this regard. The school runs a rigorous and structured programme for the co-circular activities which are treated not as an appendix or an after- thought but as being central to our efforts. The systematic inter-house competition on all these fronts, spread over the entire academic session, provides a skeletal system for allowing students to discover their interests and excel at them, forming our foundations for inter- school contests. Our engagement with associations like BSAI, IPSC, AFS and several others reflects our commitment to developing and exchanging best practices in academics, sports, co-curricular activities, and pastoral care.
