BOARDING SCHOOLS - NURSERIES OF TRUE SECULARISM

“Boarding schools offer a wealth of experiences in learning, living and becoming Global Citizens, which helps children acquire tolerance and acceptance for differences.”

Schools are like nurseries where the seeds of human-beings are sown. Boarding schools are the right kind of soil and provide the perfect environment for these saplings to grow into big and strong trees. In boarding schools, these tiny little seeds, are provided with all the nutrients like care, compassion, love, knowledge, discipline, opportunities and above all twenty-four-hour supervision which helps them to be the best they can be.

Boarding schools offer everything in one package: academics, athletics, social life, adaptability, tolerance and acceptance. Students get a taste of a variety of cultures, castes, creeds, colours, race and religions in boarding schools, as they get to interact are students and staff from different regions, communities and countries. Exchange programmes are a strong and vital part of boarding school culture which also add to widening the thoughts and vision of students.

An individual adjusts in his family, as he lives and grows up in that environment and in boarding schools students get live with their classmates and friends, irrespective of the diversity, thereby making the children more understanding, adaptable and tolerant. All the students live and learn in the same environment without the influence of the particular community or society or the power and affluence from they belong to. They develop high levels of maturity early, as they learn to understand and accept the differences existing in the world.

Children become truly secular as they absorb from different cultures and festivals being celebrated in the school. Boarding schools offer an inclusive approach to education and students learn and live together in a multi-communal setting under care and supervision of secular elders. True purpose of education is to make the children world citizens and that is what boarding schools are able to achieve very successfully.
